Predominantly second shift hours 2pm-10pm

Major Responsibilities:

• Delivers patient medications, supplies and equipment directly to patients in their residence or place of care. Also picks up returned items from patient site of care and returns to office. Insures products and equipment is transported safely in accordance with OSHA , DOT & Accrediting Organization standards. Insure products are transported in a manner which insures product integrity and freshness. Conducts activities in a customer friendly manner.
  •     1)Patient orders are expected to be accurate—correct items are delivered to the correct patient.
  •     2)Loads orders and equipment on vehicle.
  •     3)Contact patient(s) with approximate delivery time.
  •     4)Is pleasant and helpful with our customer both in person & on the phone.
  •     5)Refers clinical questions or problems with the deliveries back to a pharmacist or appropriate office personnel for prompt resolution.
  •     6)Maintains patient information confidentiality.
  •     7)Assists patients with organizing and rotating stock.
  •     8)Return used equipment to “dirty area” at end of shift.
• Completes paperwork to record delivery route activity, product distribution, patient education, patient order receipts and returns in neat, accurate and timely fashion.
  •     1)Prepares daily route sheet and maintains throughout shift.
  •     2)Complete delivery ticket with patients –receipt signature, item adjustments, etc.
  •     3)Review patient agreement forms with patient, obtains signature and returns to office.
  •     4)Collect COD’s as requested.
  •     5)Complete other company paperwork in a timely fashion.
• Operates company vehicles safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures and regulatory agencies. Insures vehicle assigned is properly maintained and in good working order and in appearance consistent with high quality customer service.
  •     1)Obeys traffic laws.
  •     2)Follows defensive driving practices.
  •     3)Follows vehicle maintenance standards including internal and external cleaning.
  •     4)Inspects vehicle daily.
• Assists with order preparation and other stock room activities.
  •     1)Keeps equipment tracking logs.
  •     2)Cleans dirty equipment.
  •     3)Picks & Packs orders.
  •     4)Cleans stock room.
• Observes Infection Control Procedures (Universal Precautions) and other mandated safeguards when handling other hazardous items.
  •     1)Labeled & Segregated holding areas for hazardous items in then vehicle and stockroom.
  •     2)Personal protective equipment.
  •     3)Sharp’s, used equipment, used disposable items, etc.
• Participates in On-Call Schedule as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
