Technical Professional Services Advisor II

What does a successful Technical Professional Services Advisor II do?

At Fiserv, a Solution Architect is integral to designing and implementing cutting-edge online and mobile payment solutions for financial institutions. This role involves working collaboratively with various professional groups and delivering technology that enhances customer experiences, generates revenue, and reduces costs. The ideal candidate thrives in a challenging environment, bringing strong consulting skills, a commitment to quality, and a proactive attitude.

 

What you will do:

• Collaborate with solution developers, management, and strategists to align solution capabilities with business needs.
• Ensure technology design and non-functional requirements are addressed throughout the system life cycle to maximize efficiency, security, and component reuse.
• Educate customers and prospects on solution architecture and capabilities.
• Champion new solutions and drive successful technical adoption through mentoring and active project participation.
• Build and maintain architecture models, including diagrams and documentation.
• Conduct technical research and prototyping to explore new solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Communicate ideas clearly to internal teams and customers.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with an inclination towards software engineering, and/or equivalent military experience.
• 5+ years of experience in client implementations, technical design, or solution delivery.
• Expertise in networking components and connectivity.
• 2+ years of experience in software development.

What would be great to have:

• Skilled in web services integration approaches and strategies.
• Experience designing online and mobile payment solutions.
• Knowledge of mobile applications, SAML, and Web Services using the SAS model.
• Understanding of protocols like HTTP, SMTP, SOAP, and SSL.
• Familiarity with creating UML diagrams, including sequence, database, class, and process flow diagrams.
• Experience in XML, XSL, XSLT, and Web Service Standards, such as WS.

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
