About the role

Your Impact as Project Engineer - Exeter, PA:

• The position will be the conduit between the customer and key stakeholders and will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific made to order wire rope projects for a global manufacturing company. The person in this role will be expected to do the following:
  • Plan, direct and coordinate projects to ensure on-time completions within budget;
  • Evaluate drawings and specifications to determine requirements necessary for project success;
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure conformity to specifications and schedules;
  • Project positive attitude while establishing effective professional relationships;
  • Forecast deficiencies and unrealistic expectations while identifying solutions;
  • Create and maintain fluid and effective project schedules;
  • Communicate and work closely with customers, vendors and installers;
  • Assist and work with engineering, purchasing and production teams;
  • Proactively handle project issues and/or risks;
  • Manage budgets, manpower, expenses and costs to complete; and
  • Issue and negotiate RFI's and Change Orders.

 

About You

Essential skills & competencies

 

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred, or equivalent experience. Such experience typified through knowledge of the wire rope manufacturing and applications, project management, statistical analysis, and design of experiments.  A working knowledge the operations of and understanding the needs of customers is also required.
• Experience in manufacturing. Custom made to order manufacturing preferred.
• Experience managing projects from $1M to $7M
• Ability to travel, valid drivers license, reliable transportation
• Must have experience working with SAP, Microsoft Office, and other software programs.
