The Senior IT Manager – Technical Training and Professional Development is a member of the Office of the CIO (OCIO) leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of technical training and upskilling initiatives for the Global IT workforce. You will ensure alignment with Global IT strategy and goals by identifying skill gaps, curating and delivering targeted learning programs, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. You will collaborate closely with IT leadership, HR, Finance and external partners to design scalable, role-based learning programs that support both current and future technology capabilities across the organization.

A typical day for the Senior IT Manager - Technical Training & Professional Development involves aligning strategic priorities and driving progress across programs such as the Technical Training Program, IT Manager Forum, Global IT New Hire Onboarding and the IT Sponsorship and Mentoring initiatives. This role includes high-level collaboration with HR and business partners to define learning goals, engaging with global stakeholders to support initiatives and advising leadership of potential early career program leaders. Whether refining content for the Extended Leadership Team (XLT) Learning & Development Series or ensuring digital accessibility across platforms, this leader plays a vital role in shaping the future of Medtronic’s Global IT workforce.
- Manage and lead a team of highly skilled learning professionals.
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of technical training programs and upskilling initiatives for the Global IT workforce, ensuring alignment with enterprise technology goals. Accountable for program leadership and program success.
