Data Center Engineer

This is a chance to take ownership of the physical parts of our trading infrastructure across multiple data centers and thousands of servers, all the while striving for simplicity and operational excellence.</span></p> <p><strong>What you'll do&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2119">&nbsp;</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="613">As a Data Center Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our global data center environments. You will have the opportunity to combine your knowledge in IT Infrastructure in order to solve business issues and independently work on improvement opportunities. You will be working on projects of all sizes, either as a resource or leading engineer and delivering it from conception all the way to completion in this hands-on, high impact and high performance role.&nbsp;Specifically, your responsibilities include:</p> <ul class="ak-ul" data-indent-level="1"> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1148">Installing and cabling switches, servers and appliances in our data centers and co-locations;</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1245">Coordinating server and network equipment installation with smart hands in remote locations;</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1341">Managing power and space allocation, including capacity planning and monitoring;</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1425">Maintaining clean and consistent cable management practices;</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1489">Tracking and managing spare parts and cable inventory;</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1547">Performing break-fix repairs, replacing components like hard drives, memory and transceivers;</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1644">Planning and executing data center build-outs, relocations and new equipment installations;</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1739">Packing, shipping, and managing the logistics of equipment for remote co
