POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Generally responsible for assisting with coordinating the flow of taxicabs through the dispatch system at the SeaTac International Airport. Provides point of contact for public and maintains daily and monthly activity reports.

 

JOB DUTIES:

 

Generally responsible for assisting with coordinating the flow of taxicabs through the dispatch system at the SeaTac International Airport.  Job duties include; coordinate replenishment of taxis in holding lot, movement of taxis from holding lot to staging lot, provide assistance to patrons at taxi stands and passengers with special needs. Provide excellent customer service to all customers, including excellent customer service to the public calling operation’s public telephone number in dispatch.  When assigned to dispatch, provide the point of contact for coordinators, supervisors and managers for the daily activity reports. Document and report driver violations; verify driver eligibility to provide service at the airport and verify driver payments. Audit operation as required. Report any hazardous or unsafe conditions existing in the taxi work areas to management. Provide direction and answer questions from the traveling public. Maintain 2-way radio contact with appropriate sources. Other duties assigned.

 

EDUCATION / TRAINING / LICENSE(S) REQUIRED:

 

High School education or equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE / JOB KNOWLEDGE:

 

Demonstrated customer service skills with a solid employment record and previous work experience in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment

 

COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must have good verbal English communication skills to assist customers in this customer service industry.   Communicates regularly with airport customers, taxi drivers, vendors, dispatchers and internal Supervisors.  To assure compliance with many state and federal employment notice requirements, it is expected that all Company employees read and understand English sufficiently to maintain a safe and lawful work environment.
