As the Lead QA Engineer for our Mobile Application team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our mobile applications. You will lead a team of QA engineers, collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define testing strategies, develop test plans, and execute testing activities. Your expertise in mobile application testing and your leadership skills will be instrumental in delivering high-quality mobile experiences to our users.
 

Position Details:

- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, support, and expertise in mobile application testing.
- Test Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define comprehensive testing strategies for mobile applications, ensuring coverage of functional, non-functional, and edge cases.

- Test Planning: Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements and user stories.

- Test Execution: Oversee the execution of test cases, including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and compatibility testing across various mobile platforms (iOS and Android).

- Automation: Drive the implementation of automated testing solutions to increase efficiency and test coverage, leveraging industry-standard tools and frameworks.

- Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using appropriate tools, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

- Quality Advocacy: Champion a culture of quality within the organization, advocating for best practices in testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.

- Feedback and Reporting: Provide clear and concise feedback on product quality, test results, and testing progress to stakeholders, including leadership and product management.

- Release Management: Collaborate with release management teams to ensure smooth and timely releases of mobile applications, coordinating testing activities with release schedules.

- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile application testing, and apply this knowledge to improve testing processes and methodologies.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software quality assurance, with a focus on mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile platforms (iOS, Android), mobile app architectures, and mobile-specific testing challenges.
- Experience leading and mentoring QA teams, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks for mobile applications (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCTest).
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
 

Desired Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software quality assurance or mobile application testing.
- Experience with performance testing tools and techniques for mobile applications.
- Knowledge of security testing principles and practices for mobile applications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
