Position Summary
The Senior People & Culture Business Partner (HRBP) will play a pivotal role in supporting our U.S. operations, working out of our San Diego, CA office. This role will provide strategic HR guidance to leadership while ensuring compliance with US State employment laws (specifically California, Colorado, and Illinois). As a key partner to the business, you will play a critical role in supporting initiatives across performance management, employee engagement, training & development, compensation, and benefits, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing the overall employee experience. You will act as the main point of contact for all People & Culture (P&C) related inquiries for our U.S.-based employees, fostering an environment of trust, collaboration, and employee success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with business leaders, ensuring a full understanding of key business and people challenges to provide expert People & Culture related input.
- Coach business leaders and line managers on P&C tools and processes to enhance organizational design, talent development, employee engagement, and workforce effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with state employment laws, including wage & hour laws, employee classification, leaves of absence, and workplace safety regulations.
- Advise on employment laws, ensuring HR policies and practices align with state-specific requirements.
- Serve as a support for all U.S.-based employee benefits, including health, wellness, and retirement plans. Oversee enrollment, compliance, and employee inquiries, ensuring a seamless benefits experience.
- Partner with leadership to drive company culture, employee engagement, and retention strategies that support business growth.
- Lead and support P&C initiatives that align with the broader roadmap, including talent management, leadership development, and compensation strategies.
- Navigate complex employee relations matters, ensuring timely resolution while mitigating legal risk.
- Support change management efforts, ensuring organizational transitions are well-communicated and successfully implemented.
- Work closely with the global P&C team to support the full employee lifecycle, from attraction and onboarding to offboarding.
You Have:
- 5+ years of HRBP experience in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong knowledge of California state employ
