Job Summary

The QA Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes for an internal C&T project. This role involves guiding QA engineers to plan, develop, and maintain effective testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage across both manual and automated testing. The QA Lead plays a key role in influencing best practices, improving testing efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Guides QA engineers in planning, developing, and maintaining robust testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage of both manual and automated testing.

• Collaborates with project leadership to manage project scope, streamline development workflows, and ensure successful delivery within time and budget constraints.

• Defines and communicates a clear web and mobile test strategy to provide timely qualitative and quantitative status/defect reports.

• Conducts feature-based requirements gathering, test execution, regression testing, and functional system testing.

• Tracks and analyzes test results, working closely with engineers to isolate and reproduce defects.

• Actively participates in release cycles by contributing to scope planning, test effort estimation, and release sign-off.

• Completes assigned tasks within project constraints and deadlines.

• Fosters a collaborative working environment and promotes a culture of technical ownership.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance testing, specializing in responsive web, mobile, and custom applications.

• Expertise in test scenario design, test case development, testing methodologies, and agile story execution.

• Extensive experience with test automation tools, unit testing frameworks, load testing tools, and API testing tools.

• Proficiency in interpreting and working with various programming languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Python, and Java.

• Strong knowledge of modern optimization and performance techniques, including memory management and application performance tuning.

• Demonstrated ability to create and design effective test cases, with a focus on problem-solving, documentation, and communication.

• Deep understanding of web accessibility and security best practices, including compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA+ standards.

• Hands-on experience with project management tools for defect tracking, test planning, and reporting.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences with varying levels of expertise.
