We are seeking a Manager, Course Development to lead a team in building world-class eLearning courses for food and workplace safety. This is a hands-on leadership role.  You will own the end-to-end course development process including: course objectives, SME collaboration, instructional design, voiceover, video/graphics development, assets assembly, testing, and LMS deployment.

If you're passionate about impactful eLearning and thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, we encourage you to apply!

Role Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team fostering a collaborative, high-accountability environment focused on craft and continuous improvement.

  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular 1:1s, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help each team member grow.

  • Identify skills gaps across the team and develop training, templates, and processes to close them.

  • Build a positive team culture that balances creative excellence with disciplined on-time delivery.

Course Quality & Instructional Standards

  • Establish and enforce instructional design standards, style guides, and QA processes across all courses and learning formats.

  • Conduct structured reviews of storyboards, scripts, and final course builds providing specific, actionable feedback.

  • Personally design and develop courses when needed, modeling best-in-class use of adult learning frameworks (ADDIE, Kirkpatrick) and scenario-based design.

  • Ensure all courses meet SCORM compliance and regulatory accuracy requirements.

  • Champion usability testing and learner feedback loops; translate data into concrete improvements to course design and assessment quality.

  • Guide the instructional design team in evaluating and leveraging AI-enabled authoring and content generation tools to enhance efficiency and learning impact.

Project & Pipeline Management

  • Own the team's content development pipeline: intake, scoping, scheduling, milestone tracking, and on-time delivery across all active projects.

  • Build and maintain project plans with realistic timelines that account for SME availability, review cycles, and revision rounds.

  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers — whether resource constraints, SME delays, or scope creep — before they impact delivery.

  • Report pipeline status, risks, and capacity with transparency and appropriate cadence.
