Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Insider Threat/Cybersecurity Analyst located in Midland, MI! The role will align to Dow's Design Your Day approach and allows flexibility for employees, in collaboration with their leader and team, to design each workday to maximize their personal productivity while balancing their personal and team needs.
About you and this role
As an Insider Threat/Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be part of the Information Protection Team under Information Security Services. Your responsibilities will include investigating new security technologies, and implementing/automating solutions. You will design security controls and standards with the rest of the Information Protection Tech team.
Responsibilities
- Supports applications and scripts to automate tasks
- Queries large data sets and design dashboards and alerts
- Participates in Security assessments as the Subject Matter Expert to ensure security standards are being met
- Develops and documents new monitoring techniques and detection capabilities
- Learns new technical disciplines, both as a team and individually
- Shares knowledge with other members of the team on topics of expertise
- Educates employees on threats and/or impact of incidents
- Willing and able to be available for on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, 3 years relevant experience, or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience with Cloud technologies
- Strong logical and analytical thinker with attention to detail
- Experience with writing code in C+, PowerShell, SQL, KQL
- Experience with Database, File Share Permissions, Activity Directory
- Familiarity with ServiceNow
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with teammates
- A strong will to learn new technologies and improve processes
