As a <strong>Sr. Director, Business Development</strong>, you will play a critical role in the success of our business development efforts in the Nordic and BeNeLux [Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg] region. You should be adept at cultivating long-term relationships with clients and prospective clients, representing our business in written and verbal presentations throughout the sales cycle, and closing business successfully.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Identify, open, lead and close contracts for new projects with new and existing clients, promoting company visibility, growth and profitability.</li> <li>Develop and execute on sales territory plan, with the objective of achieving annual sales targets for territory through acquisition of new deals.</li> <li>Implement strategies aimed toward increasing revenue and market share in the target region.</li> <li>Establish contact and develop proposals with prospective and existing clients that meet target profiles.</li> <li>Facilitate site visits by prospective clients, setting agendas, coordinating team participation and leading discussions. Follow up with diligent feedback and strategies to address any concerns.</li> <li>Build and sustain effective relationships and alliances, both internally and externally to ensure that business opportunities are identified, analyzed and pursued in a timely manner; consolidate into customer relationship management system, organizing and tracking prospects and partnerships.</li> <li>Develop, nurture and maintain a positive, constructive and trusting working relationship with members of relevant internal teams at all locations.</li> <li>Provide market intelligence acquired through sales initiatives to business development and other cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Coordinate both internal and external technical, legal and/or financial due diligence activities regarding specific business opportunities.</li> <li>Represent the company at various trade shows, community and/or business meetings.</li> <li>Deliver the expected number of business opportunities in line with management expectations, at the appropriate level of quality.</li> </ul> <p><strong>LEADERSHIP SKILLS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Dynamic, hands on professional with 5-8+ years of proven success driving Business Development/Sales activities preferably in the CMO industry.</li> <li>Highly effective written, spoken and presentation-driven communications skills.</li> <li>Ability to adjust communications style with ease to fit the audience and the message at hand.</li> <li>Willing to travel to all sites globally.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS </strong></p> <p><strong>Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, Business Administration or related field required.</li> <li>5-8+ years of experience in a results-oriented Business Development role required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Advanced degree in Business Administration, or related health, life sciences or technical area preferred.</li> <li>Deep network of contacts in the industry a strong plus.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><em>Visit <a href="https://www.agcbio.com/" target="_blank">www.agcbio.com</a> to learn why AGC Biologics is a World Leader in process development and contract manufacturing.</em></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><em><strong>Want to keep posted about our growth and to learn more about our company?</strong></em></p> <p><em>We also urge you to follow us on our LinkedIn Company Page and give us a quick Like on Facebook !</em></p> <p><em>AGC Biologics (AGC) is a global Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) with bio-manufacturing facilities in Europe, Japan, Italy and the USA.
