Senior HSSEQ Manager

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Manager of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to join a JLL client account team within the Industrials vertical. The HSE Manager will serve as a key member of the account team, providing HSSEQ leadership, advisory, and management services across multiple client facilities throughout the United States. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and the ability to drive a culture of safety excellence across geographically dispersed operations.

Travel Requirement: Approximately 20% travel to various operations sites for event investigations, audits, and business meetings.

Key Responsibilities

HSSEQ Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all HSSEQ requirements and activities for the account, communicating needs, results, and strategic recommendations to the Account Leadership Team
  • Lead the continued development and refinement of JLL's "One Team Safer Together" HSSEQ culture and training programs across the account
  • Support the HSSEQ Americas team in rolling out new compliance and best management practices programs across the account and JLL-wide initiatives

Program Management & Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation describing the HSSE program including playbooks, procedures, standards, and records required by JLL, regulatory agencies, and client specifications
  • Develop and maintain account training matrix; manage and assign online training requirements; deliver training and presentations on specific topics applicable to account employees
  • Create and maintain regulatory compliance registers for each account location ensuring current and accurate tracking
  • Complete and maintain Hazard/PPE Assessments for all account activities

Incident Management & Investigation

  • Ensure accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other HSSEQ events are properly captured, managed, and reported
  • Manage OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping requirements for the account and serve as Account Administrator for the JLL Incident Management System
  • Lead or support investigations of HSSEQ events, conduct root cause analysis, track implementation of corrective actions, and prepare lessons-learned communications across account operations
  • Develop trending analysis and proactive strategies to prevent future incidents

Compliance & Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with all HSSEQ sections of the JLL Client Assurance Program (JCAP)
  • Support environmental compliance efforts as specified in the JLL/client Master Service Agreement (MSA) and Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Conduct periodic site visits to investigate events, perform audits, and verify compliance with established programs and regulatory requirements

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Interface effectively with site leadership, operations teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to drive HSSEQ excellence
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into operational planning and execution

Required Skills

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field (degree may be waived with 7+ years of relevant experience or professional HSE certification)
  • 5+ years of progressive HSE experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities management environments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT)
  • Proven project management skills with demonstrated ability to balance multi-site activities and priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Experience with incident management systems and OSHA recordkeeping requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering effective safety training and presentations
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills with ability to employ intelligent flexibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
