65 Traffic Maintenance - Truck Mechanic

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 1-year experience in tractor and trailer repair.
2. Responsible for all types of repairs on trailers and be responsible for pre-tripping trucks.
3. Basic computer skills.
4. Must provide proper hand tools and storage.
5. Must be able to operate power tools, welders, cutting torches, air tools, and heavy machinery.

General Responsibilities:
1. Change oil.
2. Repair and trouble shoot brakes, air systems, and electrical systems.
3. Change and repair tires.
4. Fuel trucks.
5. Wash trucks as needed.
6. Shuttle trucks and trailers in and out of truck shop.
7. Keep work area clean and safe.
8. Repair and troubleshoot and overhaul engines, transmissions, and rear ends.
9. Inspect and repair equipment to D.O.T. specifications.
10. Handle washing and cleaning chemicals as needed.
11. Work extended hours when needed and perform after hours repair calls.
