Part-Time General Maintenance Technician

Description

The General Maintenance Technician will play an integral role in the behind the scenes workings of an active LORT regional theater. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this part-time position will assist in the day-to-day facility and maintenance operations of the organization.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Basic mechanical duties including minor repairs 
• Facility maintenance 
• Snow shoveling and grounds upkeep 
• Operating building automation systems 
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Have availability to work a schedule during typical work hours, some evenings and/or weekends
• Basic mechanical and computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to be a quick learner and apply newly learned skills quickly 
• Ability to sit and remain in stationary position 70% of the time, up to the duration of a shift 
• Moves equipment/material weight up to 50 pounds (unassisted) as well as work on ladders 20% of time
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle, preferred 
• Ability to successfully pass a background check
