Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a broad range of or experience levels, including Associate, Mid-Level and Senior 3D Wire Routing Technical Designers to be located in Oklahoma City, OK.

The candidate will provide engineering and technical decisions for Bombers portfolio aircraft (B-1B, B-2 or B-52) and other diverse projects.  Main area of focus will be to interpret and develop design requirements based on technical data to ensure compliance to Boeing and USAF electrical requirements.

Assignments will provide an excellent opportunity to learn aircraft electronic and electrical system design on the various platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintains cable/wire harness assembly and wiring installation designs ranging from simple to moderately complex, by applying Company, industry and governmental standards. 
• Uses basic design tools to prepare documentation and incorporates basic design changes.
• Develops and implements basic statements of work for electrical team. Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, Supplier Information Requests, Requests for Engineering Assistance).
• Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of wire harness assemblies and their installation.
• Works under general direction.
• Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.
• Analyzes results and participates in design reviews.
• Supports coordination with internal partners and external suppliers.

This position allow for Hybrid telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to be in office 3 days a week.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Must have 1 years of related work experience
• Must have 3 or more years of work experience in the defense or aerospace industry
• Must have 2 or more years of work experience working in an electrical engineering lab
• Must have experience using RF test and measurement instrumentation (such as receivers, antennas, analyzers, and oscilloscopes)
• Must be familiar with the Electromagnetic concepts (such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering)
• Must be willing to travel at least 25% of the time as required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
• 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Active U.S. Security Clearance
• Previous experience working in an Electromagnetic Effects lab
• International Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Specialist Certification
• Knowledge of digital signal processing
• Knowledge and experience establishing, designing and verifying Power Quality requirements and testing using MIL-STD-704
• Knowledge and experience generating Power Quality test procedures and test reports
• Hands-on experience with MatLab
• Experience with MS Office tool suite
• Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders

Mid-Level
