Summary:
The Group Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue by managing and coordinating sales efforts targeted at groups, such as RV rallies, corporate clients, and other social groups for a portfolio of campgrounds. This position develops strategies to attract and retain clients, negotiate contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets focusing on group business.
• Prospect and secure new business by identifying and pursuing new group sales opportunities for the portfolio of campgrounds, building a pipeline of potential clients.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing by working collaboratively with revenue management and the general manager to secure favorable terms with clients considering the campground’s revenue goals and the needs of the group.
• Manage existing accounts through cultivating strong relationships with current groups, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
• Maximize revenue through effective selling by utilizing upselling, cross selling and other strategies to increase revenue from group bookings.

Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, marketing or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in hotel sales or a related field
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in data analysis and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Ability to travel within the US and Canada
Preferred Education and Experience:
Physical demands and working conditions:
• Ability to answer phone calls, hear conversations, actively participate in virtual meetings, and give direction while viewing computer screens
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Must speak and write English fluently
• Requires use of hands for typing, handling paperwork, and other office functions such as copying, sorting, and filing
• Requires long periods of sitting and/or standing, and computer usage
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch
