XA/Utilities Asset Management Team Leader

Where the chemistry happens…

We are seeking a professional like you to support the Freeport Site XA, and Utilities as an Asset Engineer where you will be responsible for the safe and cost-effective execution of maintenance, and capital project activities for the site Utilities, Logistics, and Infrastructure (XA) assets.

You will additionally work in cross functional teams to determine and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities for the non-production assets across the site. This will be an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your ability to lead cross functional teams, influence, persuade, and negotiate.

As an XA/Utilities Asset Management Team Leader, you will be...

• Both a direct and an indirect people leader, leading through influence.
• Facilitating reliability improvement efforts in Utilities and Logistics, including the identification of bad-actor equipment, equipment criticality evaluations, development of equipment strategies, identifying opportunities that require formal and informal root cause failure investigations, and collaborating with PVG in conducting RBI’s.
• Coordinating with tech, ops, and maint. teams to support the annual revisions of the Utilities and Logistics Asset Target Pictures
• Leveraging your education in engineering and your direct maintenance / operating plant experience, to perform monthly evaluations on maintenance and non-maintenance activities to identify opportunities for appropriate application of the accrual process to improve spend forecasting.
• Applying your financial acumen to facilitate the development of the annual bottom-up fixed cost maint. and non-maint. budgets for multiple cost centers. 
• Utilizing economic evaluations and knowledge of the fixed cost plan, to provide guidance to the production and maintenance teams regarding decision making around timing and execution of maintenance and TAR activities as well as performing risk and cost avoidance evaluations to justify spend.

If you have...

• BS in Engineering (Prefer: Mechanical or Chemical)
• 8+ years of experience in plant manufacturing (Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Refining) in maintenance, reliability, operations, or capital projects.
• Working knowledge of the capital project life cycle and equipment criticality assessment. 
• Experience developing business propositions based on quantifying risk and evaluating economics.
• Proficiency in data productivity tools (SAP, PowerBI etc.)
• Proven success working in multi-discipline teams.
