Overview:

Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring an Administrative Associate for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This is a part-time Weekend Only day shift position in Charlottesville, VA.

Hours: 7A-330P Saturday and Sunday.

About the Department:

This is a mixed Critical Care (ICU) 15 beds and Step down (IMCU) 5 bed unit. The unit has 15 private rooms that serve a broad range of patient conditions and provide services for neurology, cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, nephrology, and surgical patients.

The Administrative Associate provides administrative support to the unit or department assigned. Serves as the first point of contact for patients, family members and visitors on unit assigned requiring the application of excellent customer service skills. Will also assist with the provision of a safe hospital environment conducive to individualized patient care for patients at risk of, falls, wandering, agitation, impulsiveness, self-harm or other risk behaviors enabling patients to maintain or enhance function during the hospital stay. Will assist will answering call bells, confirming entries into the secure unit, stocking of supplies, and assisting the nursing staff with obtaining patient medical devices and supplies.

Certification/Licensure

Experience

• 1 year of Healthcare Related experience required

• Customer service skills preferred

• Basic Data entry skills preferred

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment preferred
