Job Description
Job Duties:
- Act as an effective communication conduit between Remote Operations Management and the Production teams.
- PM is expected to help uphold and create a safe and compliant working environment on all remote, live productions.
- For special events, PM shall manage and track event deadlines related to broadcast services, event registration, talent support and the publishing of production schedules.
- Together with our external business partners and third-party vendors, the PM coordinates technical power needs, equipment levels, internet needs, credentials, logistics such as compound set-up, security, catering, transportation, flight and hotel adjustments and reports crew logs; hires and partners with payroll for paying all support crews.
- The Production Manager works closely with Production and Talent and with the show’s Technical Manager.
- The Production Manager manages within the show’s budget in coordination with the show’s Producer and Finance. This includes ensuring all costs are accounted for and bills are paid.
- The Production Manager executes and publishes the show’s Production Memo which includes that show’s logistics.
- The Production Manager books the traveling crews’ flights, rental cars and hotel reservations.
- When in the studio the Production Manager manages the studio shows’ crew schedule and provides supports for Production and Talent needs; he/she works closely with studio Technical Managers.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- A working understanding of global sports content with an emphasis on Mexican, English Premier League and International soccer, US domestic sports and boxing.
- Understanding of live television production workflows.
- General computer skills: INEWS, MS Office, Avid Interplay, file based production, etc.
- Ability to interact effectively with all sports personnel and specific department staff who can impact daily operations.
- Must be able to work a non-conventional work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and must have a valid passport for travel.
- Demonstrated organizational skills. Able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment without direct supervision.
- Ability to create timelines and manage documentation for special events.
- Ability to multi-task and follow directions from various members of the team.
- Ability to communicate in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- Must be able to always represent the department and company in a professional, compliant, and ethical manner.
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
- Displays a positive work ethic and can work under tight deadlines
- Willing and able to travel internationally for extended periods of time
- High degree of integrity and professionalism
