Role Description

Form Energy is looking for hands-on manufacturing associates to help us develop our core technology by contributing to our New Production Introduction Operations organization. In this role, individuals will work directly with our pilot operations team to manufacture electrodes. You will be responsible for operating pilot scale manufacturing equipment with newly developed processes and technology as we prepare for our first major installations. This opportunity is based out of the Greater Pittsburgh Area at Form Energy's Eighty Four, PA facility.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform chemical mixing and dip coating operations according to established documented protocols and safety guidelines.

  • Monitor and control the manufacturing process parameters to achieve the desired quality.

  • Maintain and create records in accordance with established procedures through electronic and written form.

  • Operate other pilot manufacturing equipment as assigned and trained per work instructions and in accordance with all safety standards.

  • Optimize production output by ensuring timely reporting of downtime (block, starved, or breakdown), quality (rework or scrap), and cycle-time (deviation from the standard).

  • Work with the technical team to troubleshoot processing issues

  • Update productivity records, shift updates, maintenance logs, and pre/post shift checklists as needed using the established tools or software

  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace per 5s standards to make sure the next shift is set up for success

  • Continuously improve processes and suggest modifications to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) working in a manufacturing environment specializing in chemical mixing or handling, such as pigment manufacturing, paint production, or pharmaceutical mixing.

  • Experience operating small to medium sized manufacturing equipment.  Direct experience with equipment such as V-blenders, loss in weight feeders, powder conveyance, solvent dispensing systems, and similar equipment highly beneficial

  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to chemical handling, personal protective equipment (PPE), and hazardous material management.

  • Experience with good general manufacturing practices (GMPs) and electronic data documentation systems 

  • Solid communication skills within a group of peers and the broader organization.
