<h1><b>About the Role:</b></h1><p></p><p><b>Grade Level (for internal use):</b></p>08<p><b>The Role</b>: We are seeking a motivated Junior Research Analyst to join our team Heavy commercial vehicles sales forecast team. While some understanding of the medium- and heavy-commercial vehicle market is preferred, it is not mandatory as full training will be provided.</p><p></p><p>The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting market trends, analyzing data, creating forecasts, and producing insightful reports to guide our clients in their strategic decisions. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their analytical skills within the automotive sector.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Responsibilities:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Using local market knowledge, help to maintain accuracy of historical databases related to commercial-vehicle powertrain and technology.</p></li><li><p>With a focus on Poland and other European markets, analyze and forecast commercial-vehicle topics, including regulations and trucking trends.</p></li><li><p>Assist in maintaining new vehicle forecast assumptions and support vehicle sales and production analysts in related forecasting work.</p></li><li><p>Develop relationships with supplier and OEM contacts as well as media to extend brand and product awareness.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and analyze current automotive industry news and trends, specifically focusing on medium- and heavy-commercial vehicles.</p></li><li><p>Develop and produce written analytical reports that demonstrate a thorough understanding of market dynamics and forecasts.</p></li><li><p>Represent S&P Global externally at conferences and other industry events, showcasing our expertise and insights.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Required education & experience:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Degree should be in a relevant quantitative field, <span><span>for example, economics, statistics or engineering</span></span>.</p></li><li><p>Preferred: 2 years of work experience with an OEM, supplier, engineering firm, or regulatory body.</p></li><li><p>Prior experience in market research, forecasting or product planning is a plus but not required.</p></li><li><p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Other skills:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Fluency in English is required, strong verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of powertrain concepts is a must.</p></li><li><p>Attention to detail & initiative are a must.</p></li><li><p>Personal and professional interest in technology topics.</p></li><li><p>Strong time management skills and self-discipline to work efficiently under tight deadlines.</p></li><li><p>Be a team player.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>About S&P Global Mobility</b></p><p>At S&P Global Mobility, we provide invaluable insights derived from unmatched automotive data, enabling our customers to anticipate change and make decisions with conviction.
