Your position
As IT Workplace Services Teamlead, you will lead the regional IT Workplace Services team responsible for the northwest region and support the global IT Operation team at our site in Wiesbaden. As main point of contact, you will be responsible for all site-specific installation, maintenance, and documentation activities of the IT infrastructure (network, server, and client). Reporting to the Head of IT Workplace Europe, this role brings a lot of variety: from workplace support to life cycle management of equipment, from maintenance of IT hardware & network infrastructure to smaller IT-related projects. The provision of the necessary IT infrastructure basis for digitalization and information security also falls within the scope of this position.
Your tasks
- Professional management of your team, organization of team meetings,
vacation and task scheduling - Developing and harmonizing processes within the entire support team
- Managing all IT infrastructure issues (e.g. error analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation), in cooperation with the IT Operation team
- Collaborating in day-to-day business (1st and 2nd level support)
- Planning, coordinating, monitoring and ensuring productive operational management
of the local IT infrastructure - Budgeting and investment planning for regional IT infrastructure projects, considering group/company-wide investment and budget guidelines
Your profile
- Communicative, problem-solving oriented and innovative
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or any technical field of similar relevance
- Advanced knowledge of all components of the IT infrastructure (e.g. LAN/WAN, design of client/server architectures and corresponding technologies, personal computer, operating systems, office applications, messaging, internet, etc.) and their configuration/customization
- Advanced knowledge of IT operations, configuration, and IT infrastructure processes (e.g., Microsoft client/server operation, Microsoft maintenance/deployment tools, patching, and virtualization with VMware, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of IT end-user support (1st and 2nd level) and Microsoft system environments (Active Directory, DHCP, File and Print Services, Azure AAD, One Drive)
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally with first experience in leading a support team (1st and 2nd level)
Languages: German – fluent, English – fluent
Nice to have: Experience with network technologies and configuration (switching), practical experience in information security and in a project environment
