Senior Software Development Engineer, Central Reliability Analytics

Central Reliability Analytics (CRA) helps Amazon service teams around the globe with the purpose of improving Amazon’s availability.

We own services which process billions of data points daily, collating data to automatically find issues, detect anti-patterns, and to ensure service resilience best practices.

We also ensure Peak Shopping Event Readiness across all of Amazons marketplaces. We work to detect issues before they are happening using Machine Learning models. We build tools and models to analyse the tests and guide-rails teams perform on their services, highlighting improvement opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
Central Reliability Analytics is looking for Software Development Engineers who want to work everyday creating, designing and developing solutions which will have a direct impact on improving the customer experience across all of Amazon.com and beyond. You will be involved in all project phases and pursuing your own initiatives and ideas to lead us forward.

About the team

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in development in the last 3 years

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
