We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team onsite in Shelton, CT. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience in business analysis who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working on smaller, focused projects. The Business Analyst will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are accurately captured and translated into actionable solutions.

Your role

•    Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and observations to elicit business needs. 
•    Analyze and document current business processes and workflows. 
•    Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
•    Translate business needs into clear, concise business and functional requirements. 
•    Develop use cases, user stories, and functional test cases. 
•    Create process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other visual aids as needed. 
•    Maintain documentation in tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
•    Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA testers, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC. 
•    Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups (if Agile). 
•    Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test cases and coordinating feedback.
•    Assist in creating reports and dashboards to track project progress and business metrics. 
•    Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback.

Your skills and experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. 
•    3–5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role. 
•    Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid). 
•    Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, and basic SQL. 
•    Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. 
•    Ability to work independently and manage multiple small-scale projects simultaneously.
