Shop Helper - 2nd Shift

Overview & Responsibilities

Overview:

Assists with duties such as sandblasting, moving and stocking warehouse materials, organizing the tooling and tool crib, light maintenance work, painting, shipping and receiving and other shop related duties. Works with supervision most of the time.

Responsibilities:

• Promotes safety and quality at all times.

• Able to work in a team environment.

• Able to work from written and verbal instructions.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Conducts him or herself in a professional manner at all times.

• Able to learn to understand inspection reports within a reasonable timeframe.

• Assists with sandblasting and maintaining the tool crib as needed.

• Learn to use appropriate equipment, tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, specifications and documentation to perform the primary functions of the role.

• Able to learn to accurately measure and record all dimensional inspections needed within a reasonable timeframe.

• Able to obtain certification to operate forklift and cranes within a reasonable timeframe. Accepts ownership over work performance and works to improve skill set.                 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalency

• 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment
