The Workers’ Compensation Administrative Associate will be responsible for providing general administrative support to adjusters and other staff as needed, supporting the overall goals of the organization and ensuring excellent customer service.
Job Functions
Effectively assist adjusters with the notation of medical documentation and indexing
Provide accurate data entry with Workers Compensation claims and imaging systems
Provide backup for incoming mail processing and scanning
Serve as back-up for the Receptionist (break, lunch, etc.) as needed
Assist with the accurate and timely processing of medical bills and mail-outs
Perform all actions relating to customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions
Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development

QualificationsJob Requirements
3 – 5 years of previous Workers’ Compensation or administrative support, with a focus on data entry, experience preferred
High school diploma, or the equivalent, preferred
Bilingual skills a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong team player with the ability to perform duties as directed and work independently
Knowledge of medical terms, as related to Workers’ Compensation claims
Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation statutes and timelines
Proficient PC skills, with a focus on the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Efficient typing and data entry skills
Professional phone etiquette with the ability to handle difficult callers/clients, while providing excellent customer service
Ability to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environment
Self-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed
Regular and punctual attendance is required
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues and managers, across all levels
Ability to promote and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers, companies and the Agency
Ability to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentiality
Work Conditions
Ability to perform approximately 90% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequently
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, occasionally
Requires operation of a computer workstation, including keyboard and video display
