Software Analyst - Senior

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Demonstrates expertise in ALL of the following IT disciplines: Sequencing configuration, Export Packing and Order fulfillment processes, Concepts of the chosen warehouse management system, EDI and Communications in support of critical processes, Supply Chain Management, and Application Architecture.
• Act as the gatekeeper for all requested changes in the application and verify that all requested changes meet the standard process in the system.  
• Create implementation processes for major sequencing reconfiguration initiatives in conjunction with the applicable Solution Analyst utilizing information supplied by the site or customer.
• Supply application and process knowledge, as well as expected time and costing information, for use in Assessment and Requirement documents as requested by Solution Analysts.
• Supply specific conditions, logic, algorithms, rules, exceptions, screen and report match-ups, data retention, testing and load testing requirements, column and table names utilizing rules supplied from software developer and other internal/external IT resources on which development will create or enhance software.
• Produce thorough test plans and any specific test and load test conditions that must be met for all sites affected by software alterations.  Perform QA on software to ensure changes function for all sites.
• Supply knowledge and/or training as applicable to roll-out changes across applicable sites.
• Work with the Solution Analysts to ensure that software configuration and process documentation is up-to-date and distributed and stored accordingly.
• Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization
• Assist in RFQ (Request for Quote) submissions by providing analysis of the SOR (Statement of Requirements) to determine software processes and hardware requirements.  Can also include assisting with customer presentations which demonstrate syncreon IT processes and software capabilities.

Your Key Qualifications

• Community College diploma required, university degree preferred (in Computer Science or Information Systems) and/or significant relevant experience.
• Problem solving – Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail. 
• Knowledge of web based system designs, User Interface concepts designs and techniques, Usability concepts, designs and techniques, Icon creation along with look and feel graphic design concepts.
• Functional & configuration knowledge of AOS Advanced capabilities (or similar application) for Sequencing, Export Packing or Order Fulfillment, Warehouse Management, RCM, MRP and SCM
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, software Development Technologies such as Jasper, Burt, Crystal Reporting tools, JavaScript, Java, Oracle Developer 6i (forms, reports, interfaces), Architecture and design patterns (OO, Waterfall…), Application workflow and application server communication, Dashboards and other reporting tools, Shell Scripting, and EDI standards – GIS mapping.
• Database Technologies such as Open Source, Oracle or SQL Server, ANSI SQL, SQL*Plus and PL/SQL, and MS Access, ERP Applications.
• Knowledge of trends in technology relating to software applications
• Root-cause analysis & creative problem solving skills.
• Understanding automotive specific processes (CKD, Sequencing, Subassembly, Packing....).
• Understanding business strategy & relationship to IT
