Job Overview
As a member of the global EHSS team, the Sr. Manager, Environmental Compliance provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure DePuy Synthes operations comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, and internal standards. This role leads environmental compliance programs, partners closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and EHS teams, and plays a critical role in risk mitigation, regulatory engagement, and continuous improvement. The position has direct impact on business continuity, regulatory readiness, and DePuy Synthes’ commitment to responsible and sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee environmental compliance programs across assigned sites, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Serve as the subject‑matter expert for environmental regulations, permits, and reporting obligations, including air, water, waste, and chemical management requirements.
Partner with site leadership, manufacturing, engineering, and EHS teams to identify environmental risks and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Lead and prepare sites for regulatory inspections and internal audits; manage responses, commitments, and follow‑up actions.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with corporate standards.
