Associate Director, AI Initiatives, Office of the Dean| McDonough School of Business - Georgetown University
The Associate Director plays a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of AI- and FoW-related programs and experiences for students, while also helping expand the Initiative’s visibility, reach, and impact among faculty, staff, alumni, industry partners, and external stakeholders. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to help build a growing initiative at the intersection of business, technology, and the future of work.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and execute events, workshops, speaker series, and other programming related to the AI, Analytics, and FoW Initiative
- Support stakeholder engagement, including outreach to students, faculty, staff, alumni, industry partners, and external organizations
- Manage website updates, newsletters, and other communications materials in partnership with MarComm
- Provide operational and administrative support for initiative-related projects and priorities
- Assist with student-focused experiential learning opportunities and engagement initiatives
- Support the development of new programs, partnerships, and engagement opportunities aligned with the Initiative’s mission
- Support cross-functional coordination with Dean’s Office staff, faculty, and external stakeholders
- Track initiative-related activities, timelines, and deliverables
Work Interaction
The Associate Director reports to the Director of Initiatives and works closely with the Director of the AI, Analytics, and FoW Initiative to support the Initiative’s programming, operations, stakeholder engagement, and strategic priorities. The position collaborates regularly with colleagues within the Dean’s Office, including Marketing and Communications, program staff, faculty, students, alumni, and external stakeholders connected to initiative programming and engagement efforts.
This role directly contributes to the University’s mission by advancing Georgetown’s commitment to educating principled leaders who can navigate technological change with ethical insight, analytical rigor, and global perspective. By fostering learning, collaboration, and innovation around artificial intelligence, analytics, and the future of work, the position helps integrate cutting-edge knowledge into the McDonough experience and strengthens the school’s impact at the intersection of business, technology, and society.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in higher education, program management, communications, events, or related fields
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and stakeholder groups
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard digital communication tools
- Ability to engage professionally with students, faculty, alumni, senior leaders, and external partners
- Strong judgment, initiative, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications
- Experience supporting academic, innovation, entrepreneurship, or technology-focused initiatives
- Familiarity with AI, analytics, or future-of-work topics
- Experience working in higher education or business school environments
