Unilever’s Foods business unit in North America delivers nearly €2bn Turnover and is the largest cell globally for both our Power Brands, Hellmann’s and Knorr. Our ambition is to be the world’s fastest growing Foods business; making food that tastes irresistibly good and wins on shelf. Our CFO role is the steward of delivering a business model that builds strong brands, outgrows the competition, and improves gross margins to fund reinvestment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the CFO is to drive business performance through effective business partnering of the cross-functional leadership team. This role will directly manage Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, and related capabilities. This role also sits on the Finance Leadership Team, with co-ownership of National Finance work and the functional talent pool. Aside from performance management, this role will also develop business cases, manage allocation of CAPEX, brand investment, and overheads.

  • Partner with the CEO Foods, North America, on the business priorities and plan delivery. Sit on the Business Unit LT, North America Finance LT, and Global Foods Finance leadership team with dotted line reporting to the Global Foods CFO.
  • Partner with the vertical leads for Condiments and Cooking Aids & Mini Meals, as well as our Category Strategy and Sales leaders, in business modelling, P&L forecasting, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Drive E2E reviews focused primary on value to be created (both in disruption and performance management matters), but also on value to be protected.
  • Identifying P&L opportunities while mitigating risks.
  • Experiment with Business Model development and deployment to drive portfolio transformations.
  • Directly supervise Marketing and Sales Finance, as well as Supply Chain Finance for our Foods-dedicated manufacturing sites and go-to-market SC capabilities.
  • Developing a strong, sustainable funnel of Finance talent with a culture of winning, taking smart risks, accountability, and dissatisfaction with the status quo.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of Finance Business Partnering in CPG with exposure to category and/or sales Finance.
  • Proven track record in P&L delivery by managing a complex set of stakeholders, driving business improvement, and closing gaps to target.
  • Interpersonal skills include influencing, mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
  • Grounded in understanding business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of stakeholder trust and confidence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of CFO or business unit finance lead experience within a CPG or FMCG firm.

    Pay: The pay range for this position is $221,100 to $386,925 . Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.  

    Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.  

    Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
