Position Overview
The Associate Director, IT Solution Delivery - Agile Delivery is accountable for overseeing multiple scrum masters within the IT Solution Delivery organization, ensuring agile practice is upheld and teams are delivering value towards business objectives. This role leads through senior staff to deliver enterprise-level IT capabilities that enable innovation, efficiency, and business growth. The Associate Director is responsible for long-term planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive successful IT delivery outcomes.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead multiple teams delivering agile delivery of varying scope and complexity, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Oversee senior staff, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure high performance.
- Develop and manage resource forecasts, and resource plans to meet organizational objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology partners.
- Drive adoption of standardized delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and ensure adherence to governance processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software delivery and agile team maturity and operational efficiency.
- Partner with business units to anticipate needs and ensure solutions are delivered on time.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance within the department.
- Mentor and develop future leaders, supporting succession planning and career growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and IT best practices.
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
- Ability and means to travel between local Exact Sciences locations.
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in information technology,
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing managers and/or large teams.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and cross-functional program delivery.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively at the executive level.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, ITIL, and multiple delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Agile certifications (scrum.org – PSM1+, Scrum Alliance – CSM+, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in healthcare, biotechnology, or regulated industries.
- Certifications in project/program management (PMP, PgMP, Agile certifications) and/or IT governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to scale agile practices to the enterprise organization
- Experience managing large-scale, enterprise-wide IT initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
Salary Range:
$133,000.00 - $226,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
