This job oversees all aspects of Corporate Communications video projects including creative process research, development, scripting, budgeting, scheduling, image acquisition, lighting, editing, music selection, on-location site selection, motion graphics, talent selection and distribution of media. Produces cutting edge quality content for broadcast, the Internet and executive presentations. Acts as Team Leader on projects assigned by this job which includes field production and post-production and serves as a key contributor to the strategies and goals of the Creative Media division of Corporate Communications. Makes recommendations on technology improvements with regards to video production operation, post production and distribution of electronic media and designs, manages and interacts with This job to implement improvements to both production and post-production work-flows.

Education 

Required - Bachelor's degree in a related field

Preferred - Master’s degree


Work Experience

Required - 3 years Professional broadcast, commercial, corporate, or medical video experience.
Experience in Final Cut Pro Edit Suite and Adobe Creative Suite as well as supervising video field crews and/or post-production.
Strong technical and creative background in all areas of video production including producing, directing and nonlinear editing.

Preferred - 10 years related experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
  • Skills in camera work, lighting, editing, direction, and sound production for video production
  • Strong technical and creative background in all areas of video production including producing, directing and nonlinear editing


Job Duties

  • Oversees project development and manages production timeline.
  • Produces broadcast/industrial quality video and audio for all distribution media.
  • Produces high quality post production editing/graphics. 
  • Supervises production and/or post production.
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
