• Lead a team responsible for the design, deployment, and continuous, on-call support of secure manufacturing systems and test software.
• Manage a team of senior and junior engineers and assign technical tasks, manage their performance, ensure project milestones and team goals are delivered on time.
• Define and execute on the product roadmap and strategy to support business and engineering for all of RL's manufacturing needs.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with business leaders, provide engineering and support strategies that meet business goals.
• Identify manufacturing test software gaps in the supply chain, set up long term goals and projects for the test software engineering team to improve software efficiency.
• Plan and allocate engineering resources and provide test software support for multiple projects based on technical and manufacturing complexity.
• Collaborate with third party test integrators in designing, developing and fabricating test systems.
• Oversee design and development of a robust and highly scalable test automation framework for manufacturing use cases.
• Work closely with OS, FW, hardware test, data engineering teams to ensure application environments and infrastructures are built and closely optimized for each other in a requirements-driven approach.
• Oversee Software rollout and validation of Software releases at manufacturing partners, and ensure comprehensive documentation.
• Integrate security into all layers of the environment in order to protect sensitive data stored on systems at third party sites and in cloud environments.
• Ensure excellent support, stability and maximum uptime for manufacturing systems and network infrastructure across globally dispersed sites and cloud environments.
• Be responsible for teams productivity and have the ability to seek out areas of improvement in tools, software frameworks, and processes that can be implemented to make the team more productive.
• 20% domestic and international travel required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
• Experience must include 3 years of experience in the following:
• 1. Developing test software solutions for a production environment
• 2. Developing test automation and test frameworks to enable comprehensive test coverage
• 3. Python coding and debug
• 4. Cross platform experience using Windows/Linux/Arm Embedded/Android
• 5. Understanding of fundamental considerations of building hardware in development and production stages
• 6. Developing solutions in both Linux and Windows environments
• 7. Developing software that interfaces and controls hardware devices over USB/serial/network/PCIE
• 8. Data analysis/visualization
• 9. Domestic and international external vendors and supply chains, AND
• 10. Introducing and qualifying software test solutions to production environment.
