Position: Front Office Coordinator FLEX Salary: $18.92 – Negotiable/plus shift/weekend differential if applicable Location: Gaming Division
Reports to: Hotel Manager
Responsibilities:
- Must adhere to and make sure their team adheres to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Hotel Department.
- Must dress professionally.
- Adhere to the highest service standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and expedite traffic flow in lobby for efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Respond to guest inquiries in an efficient, courteous and respectful manner.
- Make schedule adjustments when necessary and inform the Hotel Manager.
- Evaluate and monitor the ongoing performance of team members to ensure exceptional guest service is provided.
- Maintain awareness of and effectively communicate to other staff and guest’s current promotions, events and programs.
- Create and complete daily reports from the hotel management system.
- Assist in the on-going training and development of all front desk team members.
- Assume responsibility and perform duties of team members when there are staff shortages or when team members need assistance.
- Coach and counsel team members when the need arises.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members.
- Carry out all assignments given by the Hotel Manager.
- Keep the Hotel Manager and in their absence the Hospitality Director informed of all pertinent information daily.

Qualifications & Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- An associate’s degree in hospitality, business, hotel or restaurant management or related field is preferred.
- Previous supervisor or management experience required, preferably in casino/hotel environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Must have the ability to learn hotel software.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule when required.
- Must have exceptional guest service skills.
- Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships between departments and employees.
- Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and implement policies and procedures.
- Ability to plan and multi-task.
- Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance required.
- Pass a full background check.
Work Conditions:
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with arms, talk and hear.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- Work is generally performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level and cigarette smoke.
- Evening and/or weekend work required.
- Work environment requires excellent personal hygiene.
