This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.
HII designs, develops, integrates and manages the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated ISR operations and accelerated decision-making. With data fusion and mission management capabilities for the Department of Defense, the combatant commands and the intelligence community, HII advances the mission around the globe.

Summary
The Vice President of Growth for All-Domain Operations (ADO) reports directly to the ADO President and serves as a key member of the leadership team. This executive is responsible to lead our pursuit and acquisition of new and recompete contracts in the Department of Defense (DOD) and the broader United States Government (USG). We are looking for an individual with a track record of longevity in their career, a passion for success, and a "roll-up-your-sleeves" approach to leadership. This servant leader will play a pivotal role in building and sustaining trust-based relationships, shaping pricing strategies, and driving cross-functional collaboration.
This position requires a visionary leader who is hands-on, agile, and adept at managing diverse responsibilities—from P&L ownership to spearheading growth strategies and integrating innovative solutions. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, while building strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
What you will do
- Cultivate and sustain trust within HII and with our DOD and USG clientele.
- Lead by example, emphasizing the enduring depth of relationships, commitment to the mission, and servant leadership.
- Oversee the entire growth lifecycle, including market/customer assessments, capture strategy development, execution of new business opportunities, and recompeting contracts.
- Collaborate with growth personnel (Business Development, capture, and proposal teams) to identify and mature opportunities through the business acquisition lifecycle.
- Develop comprehensive business solutions aligned with customer needs for a competitive edge.
- Identify potential customers, analyze their requirements, and tailor strategies to address their needs and challenges.
- Conduct thorough competitive assessments, providing insights for informed decision-making during pursuits.
- Foster relationships with teaming partners and suppliers to create effective and competitive bid teams.
- Refine pricing-to-win strategies that ensure success and profitability.
- Participate in bid and proposal activities, translating capture strategy into effective proposal responses.
- Maintain alignment with the marketing team to ensure growth strategies align with branding and messaging.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, providing insights on market trends, competitive intelligence, and strategic opportunities.
- Communicate periodic progress, status updates, and risk assessments to senior management.
What you must have
- 10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; or 8 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in growth roles (capture management, business development, on-contract growth), or relate
