Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem (Varying Hours)

Pay Rate $30.00 per hour

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Position Summary

 

Under direct supervision, assists pharmacist in providing medications to patients and performs routine duties in hospital pharmacy. 

 

Specific Duties

• Fills medication carts under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Prepares IV piggyback medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Orders, unpacks and stores supplies, verifies items received against invoices and stores perishables in refrigerators.
• Delivers supplies and medications to various departments as needed.
• Fills floor stock requests.
• Produces labels via computer for requested medications.
• Compiles outdated medications through monthly inspection of Pharmacy, and returns to appropriate vendor.
• Performs Quality Improvement activities as directed.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

• One to two year’s experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required.
