What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace.
The essence of this role is to:
- Responsible for Workplace Experience which includes managing 3rd party facilities and contracted service providers at the Blythewood, SC factory and other critical enterprise-wide services and programs
- Lead a team responsible for office facilities management including: cafeteria & food services, office furniture, general maintenance, corporate travel, uniforms & workwear, vehicle fleet, janitorial, pest control, waste management, mail services, landscaping, test track, yards and parking.
- Manage 3rd party facilities management provider responsible for all factory support buildings and supplier park
- Scope, plan, and manage facilities design, construction, and renovation projects
- Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors, contractors and consultants for facilities projects and initiatives
- Manage facilities in-take process and CMMS software to timely review, assign, execute, communicate status, and track key metrics for work requests
- Ensure building operations meet service level standards and are in full compliance with all local laws. regulations, and corporate standards.
- Partner with EHS colleagues to drive efficiencies and improvements in energy management, sustainability, and occupational safety
- Manage key relationships with vendors, business partners and internal stakeholders.
- Develop, track, and control workplace service annual operating budgets
- Establish departmental objectives, milestone planning, and metrics to track and report performance.
- Additional tasks and/or projects as directed by the Director, Corporate Facilities & Services.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration or related field. Advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of progressive experience in workplace experience management, property portfolio management, and/or contracted services
- Experience establishing new processes and standards in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Experience scaling up facilities and maintenance services in a start-up/high-growth environment preferred
- Direct experience managing cafeteria and janitorial services RFPs, scope of work, daily operations and vendor performance
- Experience building out new facilities while scaling up maintenance services in a startup/high-growth environment preferred.
- Strong financial management discipline including budgeting, tracking, and forecasting.
