OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER

Luxury, Digital DTC – NEW YORK, NY

The Operations Assistant Manager makes an immediate and daily impact on the DTC team and its internal partners. This

person will contribute to the success of multi-brand inventory management activities by ensuring the flow of inventory

to DTC distribution centers is aligned with global strategies to maximize sales, inventory, and margin goals. This role

interacts with several cross-functional team members (eCommerce site teams, central Supply Chain teams, etc.) across

different time zones.

 

This person will report to the Senior Manager, DTC Supply Planning within the Global DTC Operations team.

 

THE ROLE

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

• Provide day-to-day operational support in identifying and solving problems in a complex, global logistics network; warehouse, order management, stock availability, etc.

 

• Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish, including cross-functional project management, data collection and manipulation, analysis and modelling, and the communication of insights and recommendations; develop recommendations to minimize manual intervention in order processing or audit master data for gaps in product detail

 

• Ensure master data integrity in key systems (SAP, OMS, JDA) as well as maintaining processes to support data quality

 

• Assist in the application and implementation of business and information technology initiatives; leverage tech advancements to create DTC specific solutions, develop exception reporting

 

• Work closely with eCommerce site teams to drive operational excellence across supply chain, logistics, and product operations; identifying slow moving inventory, communicating and managing product data flow for product discontinuation/reformulations

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

 

Essential:

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience performing similar duties; inventory management, data entry, project management
• Great attention to detail and accuracy; job entails reviewing a robust level of inventory that will require analysis at the SKU-level Page 2 of 2
• Highly organized and able to multi-task, work independently in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple brands’ needs
• Ability to be flexible and thrives working in a small team environment managing highly visible and desirable brands
• Demonstrated skills to use data to diagnose problems, identify root causes, develop potential solutions and assign appropriate corrective action
• Strong communication skills, aptitude to work collaboratively across different functions with diverse personalities
• A self-starter and fast-learner who requires little to no guidance

 

Desirable:

• Direct-to-consumer eCommerce experience
• Familiarity with tools such as SAP, JDA, PIM; and with cross-border fulfilment vendors such as Global-e
