Steer has been supporting NorCal clients for more than 10 years, and now we are excited to increase our commitment to the region with the implementation of a transformational growth plan that will allow us to expand our impact even further. The key enabler for this growth is to build a local team based on two new offices in Oakland and Sacramento. Our first objective for this year is to build the NorCal leadership team across our key target areas: New Mobility and Zero emission, Strategy and Business Case, Travel Demand modelling, Equity and Design for Movement.

Our New Mobility team has a global portfolio of clients and works across the private and public sectors. Typical projects include:

• advising property developers on changes in planning related to EV uptake and developing forecast scenarios on the uptake of EV charging infrastructure.

• public sector EVCP feasibility studies on the implementation of an on street charging network with the local borough including user behaviour analysis, effects on the distribution network, provision, and management of EVCPs.

• charging infrastructure market due diligence in support of a funding call by an eBus and battery energy storage financing company; and • development of a financial modelling tools demonstrate the business models used in the deployment of charging infrastructure within a mixed usage private development.

About the Role

We are looking for a Zero Emission Vehicle and Charging Infrastructure Specialist to support our growth in this market area in North America. NorCal is a catalyst for innovation and advanced thinking and has been identified as a key opportunity area for initiating our growth in North America.

Your role will be to lead the growth of our EV practice building on the existing client and project portfolio. You will be responsible for helping to shape the direction and strategy for growth in NorCal and in US. The focus for this role will be delivering a portfolio of work in the private and public sector, supporting winning a range of electrification related projects and also providing relevant technical expertise to support other projects across the business (both in North America and internationally).

You will lead the development of new relationships with clients and partners to expand our footprint across the NorCal region and beyond. And will be working collaboratively with other NorCal leads to share client 2 of 2 www.steergroup.com intelligence, develop growth strategies and explore innovative and integrated solutions across our services (e.g. equity, business case and strategy, TDM, etc.)

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, self-starting, problem-solver and collaborative professional based in the NorCal Area (Sacramento or Oakland office).

Key Accountabilities:

• Grow our EV practice in Norcal and nationally engaging with existing clients expanding the services we currently provide, as well as expanding the breadth of clients to address the specific EV market;

• Client and partners engagement: Engage proactively with clients and potential partners to explore their problems and proactively identify solutions.

• Create an integrated and differentiated offer: Work collaboratively with colleagues across other disciplines and geographies to provide high-quality, integrated and differentiated services to our clients;

• Lead delivery: direct teams to deliver innovative and successful proposals and projects to time, cost, risk management, and product quality;

• Mentor and supervise more junior colleagues in NorCal and across Steer

Key Skills:

• Industry Knowledge: you have experience in undertaking other zero emissions technologies projects (e.g. Fuel cells, hydrogen, etc.) both leading and contributing

• Strategic thinking: you are used to thinking strategically and justifying decisions based on data-driven cri
