Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption.  Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

The Director champions value-based planning, execution, and delivery within our Scaled Agile framework overseeing a team of Release Train Engineers (RTEs) and Scrum Masters. Our team designs Agile Release Train (ART) practices, events, and processes.

 

You will:

  • Lead value-based planning, execution, and delivery of digital roadmaps encompassing products and services across all Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
  • Foster a collaborative and self-organizing environment, promoting open communication and effective teamwork.
  • Manage cross-train resourcing, risks, dependencies, budgets, and impediments.
  • Implement cross-train communication channels.
  • Engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, business leaders, project sponsors, and external partners, ensuring their buy-in and support for our planned program deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, and UX leaders to understand the needs, challenges, and opportunities of the Agile Teams as well as Train, provide support guidance removing any impediments that may hinder their progress.
  • Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, communication, transparency, and continuous learning and improvement for the ARTs.
  • Develop a standard set of tools for teams to track cross-team dependencies, deliverables, and launches.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation. Encourage and empower teams to experiment, learn from problems/issues and failures, and embrace Agile principles in their day-to-day work.
  • Provide overall strategic direction for monitoring and measuring performance and success metrics.
  • Contributes and influences IT people strategies and supports talent transformation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging Agile practices, and tools. Identify and implement best practices to enhance Agile maturity within the organization.

You have:

  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, values, and methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe. SAFe 6 Certification is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading Agile Delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Agile transformations and scaling Agile practices in dynamic organizations, inspiring, influencing, and guiding teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects using Agile principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to navigate and manage complexity, ambiguity, and changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Agile Value management tools like Rally/Clarity.
