Currently, ManTech is seeking an industry recognized, hands-on, motivated, career and team-oriented Data Science and Analytics Practice Director. 

This role will support the Innovation and Capabilities Organization (ICO) in delivering emerging technologies and capabilities to support each of ManTech’s Sectors. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Leading a team of AI and Data Science professionals as the Product Owner across multiple Agile Release Trains. 

• Engage with ManTech leadership and professionals to formulate and execute ManTech AI and Data Science strategic vision and go-to-market strategies.

• Work with the business development and capture teams to ensure AI and Data Science solutions help with new business capture.

• Design, architect and develop innovative and forward-thinking AI and Data Science solutions for Agency missions.

• Participate in customer focused demonstrations that highlight the AI and Data Science solutions created within the organization.

• Provide consultative support and guidance to Agency partners through the development lifecycle of AI and Data Science solutions.

• Create and manage tasks for Sprints and Agile Program Increment Planning in Jira for the team based on known backlog, feedback from Agencies, application releases, and project priorities. 

• Drive release cycle with the Release Management team, ensure code is documented, conduct code reviews, and prepare the code package in repositories (SVN, GIT, SharePoint). 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least 9 years of overall related professional experience

• At least 3 years of management experience

• At least 3 years of Cloud Engineering experience on major cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Experience with AI/ML technologies (example-Pytorch)

• Analytical and critical thinking skills, and multi-tasking ability are a must; able to think and operate on both the strategic and tactical levels (e.g. able to devise a short-term solution that complements the longer-term goals). 

• Proven technical and/or proposal writing skills required. Strong written and verbal communications skills, especially when presenting technical topics to a non-technical audience. 

Security Clearance Requirements:

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
