Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Flight Readiness Technician to help support the BSC Delivery Center Operations Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift.

In this exciting role you will plan, schedule, and arrange activities for the BSC Flightline. You will also perform and provide necessary coaching to support activity execution of the following:
 

Flight test installations and functional testing. Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems to isolate mechanical or electrical/electronic faults and repair faulty components. Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks and perform maintenance and modification actions. Resolve problems during operation and testing of deliverable products. Perform system and subsystem pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery. Document repair, test, and inspection results.

• Builds effective resource plans that support SOW execution and landmark completion with team and crew coordination

• Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader with efficiency

• Monitors and reports daily progress to plan across multiple functions

• Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk

• Documents and communicates shift turnover

• Establishes overtime requirements, execution plan and staffing

• Responsible for crew level oversight of 5S

• Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training

• Verifies accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection

• Ability and professionalism in support of airline customer interaction

• Identifies KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and LMS Kaizen improvement actions, and follows up with actions and tasks associated at weekly Kamishibai and Gemba walks

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Must be willing to work 2nd Shift

• 3+ years of formal or informal leadership experience

• 3+ years of aerospace, manufacturing, or fabrication experience

• 1+ year of 787 Operations experience

• 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office tools

• 1+ year of Computing & operating systems experience with Velocity and IVT

• 1+ year of flightline experience

• 1+ year of functional testing experience

• 1+ year of troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems to isolate mechanical or electrical/electronic faults and repair faulty components

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Team Lead experience

• A&P License
