Join us in building an innovative prevention program designed to keep children safe with their families. The Program Director for Prevention Intensive Permanency Services (Pre-IPS) is a member of the Plummer Leadership Team who oversees day-to-day program operations while also carrying a small caseload while building the program. This role ensures all services are delivered in alignment with Plummer’s mission, vision, and values, while shaping and growing a service that strengthens family stability and long-term permanency. 

This is not an in-home therapy role. Instead, Pre-IPS focuses on connecting families to community-based resources, identifying strengths and safety challenges, and partnering with families to develop their own plans that eliminate the need for child removal or ongoing DCF involvement. 
Essential Job Functions 

Direct Service (Case-Carrying) 
  • Carry a caseload of up to six families referred by DCF. 
  • Conduct twice-weekly family engagement visits in the home/community. 
  • Facilitate Family Team Meetings and support family-driven planning. 
  • Connect families with culturally responsive, community-based supports. 
  • Document plans and progress in APRICOT (EHR) and Virtual Gateway. 
Program Leadership & Supervision 
  • Act as the primary referral liaison, responding to all DCF referrals within 24 hours and managing intake, assignment, and capacity. 
  • Develop marketing plan to grow program census over time and build relationships with local DCF offices. 
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all levels of DCF office staff. 
  • Ensure the program consistently maintains the budgeted number of youth served. 
  • Ensure the program consistently meets continuous quality improvement standards and expectations. 
  • Document all casework in APRICOT and Virtual Gateway.   
  • Provide regular clinical supervision and case oversight for Pre-IPS staff, in accordance with the Plummer Supervisory Framework. 
  • Document all supervision in APRICOT; review and approve treatment planning and outcomes to ensure timeliness, quality, and alignment with DCF standards. 
  • Participate in 30-day Safety Parameter Meetings and Support and Stabilization Meetings with DCF. 
  • Engage in Permanency Consults, group supervisions, and practice leadership activities. 
  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff; approve timesheets and expenses; complete annual performance reviews. 
  • Ensures timely, high-quality documentation and treatment planning aligned with permanency goals and accurate and timely case closing documentation. 
Organizational Leadership 
  • Actively engage in monthly Plummer Leadership Meetings and program-specific Performance Quality Improvement activities. 
  • Support Plummer development initiatives as requested. 
  • Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and reporting requirements. 
  • Actively engage in peer supervision and group supervision.
