We are looking for someone energetic and passionate about working with kids to join the team as a Multi-Site Director for our Ekron Elementary location in Ekron, KY.



JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

PAY: $20.00 per hour



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guiding Compliance: Ensure that both staff and program adhere to OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school.
  • Bringing the Fun: Direct engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Plus, don't forget about homework completion – you'll be the ultimate homework hero!
  • Managing Like a Boss: Take charge of essential management tasks, including maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, and ensuring proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly.
  • Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Ensure the program maintains open lines of communication with parents and family members through the Playground App.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively and regularly with your direct report, ensuring they're up to speed on daily occurrences and addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner. By working together as a cohesive team, we'll provide the highest quality of care, foster a positive working environment, and proactively tackle any challenges that come our way.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

All candidates must have the following:

  • Be 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED, or qualifying documentation from a comparable educational entity; i.e., A Kentucky Home School certificate; transcript that shows date of graduation; a document verifying graduation from another country; a letter from a Board of Education verifying completion. A Commonwealth Child Care Credential does not meet the requirements for qualifying a director.
  • TB Skin Test or Health Professional Statement free from TB.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

All candidates must have one of the following options:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and Development.

OR

  • Associate's degree or higher in a field other than Early Childhood Education and Development, including a degree in pastoral care and counseling. Also, must have 12 hours of child development training OR three years of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school based program following Dept. of Education guidelines, an early childhood development program such as Head Start or a licensed or certified child care program (certified home provider). Also, please note that this requires “verifiable” full time paid experience; i.e. must have written letters from past employers stating that they worked in a full time position directly with children from start date to last date of employment.

OR

  • A director’s credential in Early Childhood Development and, must have one year of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school based program following Dept. of Education guidelines, an early childhood development program such as Head Start or a licensed or certified child care program (certified home provider).

OR

  • A child development associate (CDA). Also, must have one year of verifiable paid experience working directly with children in a school based program following Dept. of Education guidelines, an early childhood development program such as Head Start or a licensed or certified child care program (certified home provider).

  • A high school diploma and must have three years of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school based program following Dept. of Education guidelines, an early childhood development program such as Head Start or a licensed or certified child care program (certified
