As part of the Division of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, our Section can draw on their expertise, which includes several national research programs in cystic fibrosis and severe asthma along with active aerodigestive, primary ciliary dyskinesia, sleep medicine and neuromuscular weakness programs.  Numerous potential collaborations in clinical care, basic science, and education are available with the Divisions of Rheumatology and Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology within the Department of Medicine.  These multiple opportunities will make for a varied academic environment.

The University of Virginia School of Medicine and affiliated UVA Health System form the premier medical and research institution in the Commonwealth of Virginia and have a rich tradition of discovery, translational, clinical and health services/outcomes-based research grounded in a culture of collaboration and service.
