Aerospace & Defense Project Manager
Mott is a leader in mission-critical precision, and we are looking for an entrepreneurial, high-energy Aerospace & Defense (A&D) Project Manager to join our fast-paced PMO team. The Role
As the A&D Project Manager, you will be the single point of accountability for complex projects from initial contract review through final delivery. You will work alongside a talented technical team, taking ownership of program execution while managing risks and keeping stakeholders informed.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Own the cost, schedule, scope, and delivery of A&D filtration projects.
Central Coordination: Build and maintain project schedules, place and track purchase orders, and manage vendor relationships.
Stakeholder Management: Lead customer reviews (CDR/TRR) and maintain clear communication and action logs.
Financial Oversight: Manage project finances, including cost tracking, budgeting, and EAC/ETC forecasting.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential issues early and drive mitigation plans to protect delivery commitments.
Qualifications
We are seeking a results-oriented problem solver who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience & Skills:
Education: BS Degree in Engineering.
Experience: Proven Project Management experience, including coordinating with 3rd party vendors and managing budgets.
Technical Savvy: Technical understanding of engineered systems and knowledge of mechanical/structural design standards.
Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to work across multiple disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP Certification.
Direct experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry.
Familiarity with Aerospace Quality & Compliance standards.
Performance Goals:
Consistently meet contract ship dates for complex projects.
Maintain project costs within 5-10% of "as-sold" estimates.
