POSITION SUMMARY The Clinical Development Educator I is a member of the Learning and Development Department within the Employee Experience Group, supporting the professional growth of team members in one or more functional departments within the organization. With guidance from the Manager of Education Programs and Curricula, the Clinical Development Educator I designs, delivers, and evaluates learner-centered and performance-based curricula; participates in leading train-the-trainer and mentorship programs; coordinates training and administers the learning management system (LMS); and fosters continuous improvement by actively participating in the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program and serving as a change agent for the organization. The role identifies and acts on opportunities to improve individual and organizational performance as well as effectiveness of the training program itself. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assurance of Instructional Design Quality
- Ensures that learning solutions are developed in a manner that aligns with best practices and reinforces organizational goals.
- Facilitates curriculum development meetings with stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs) and other educators.
- Creates and implements curriculum development project plans to coordinate tasks of project teams including other educators.
- Reviews project deliverables completed by others on the team for adherence to instructional design principles, established templates, and organizational standards.
- Coaches and mentors other educators on curriculum development and training to improve their knowledge and skills.
Instructional Design
- Establishes, administers, delivers, and evaluates learner-centered and performance-based curricula, instructional content, and competency assessments.
- Acts as clinical education generalist but may be assigned to support specific departments within the organization.
- Develops and carries out didactic and simulation training, conducts department specific or focused ad hoc training, and acts as faculty for Clinical Academy and New Hire Orientation.
- Carries out routine and ad hoc check-ins with new and existing staff, develops training plans or roadmaps, and acts as an ongoing resource for employees during and after the orientation process.
- Participates in, develops, facilitates, and leads various education programs (i.e, Clinical Academy, Clinical Learning Series, and Clinical Skills Days, etc.).
- Analyzes learning needs by consulting with leadership, managers, and other stakeholders to identify performance gaps, goals, and success indicators.
- Assesses organizational factors that may address performance gaps or impact training outcomes and makes recommendations to stakeholders.
- Designs learning solutions and proposes effective strategies to stakeholders.
- Works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define and document learning objectives and research content.
- Develops presentations, facilitator guides, participant guides, web-based training, job aids, assessments, and other performance support tools.
- Develops learning solutions that blend web-based training, instructor led training and didactics, on-the-job experience and training, and third-party training.
- Develops training materials using technology such as PowerPoint, Word, Articulate, and Adobe Creative Cloud for authoring, editing video, editing audio, and publishing.
- Works with SMEs and learners to develop and pilot test material before implementing training.
- Transitions learning materials to eLearning platforms.
- Evaluates learner reaction, knowledge acquisition, and performance outcomes.
- Updates curricula and competency assessments according to changes in practice, performance needs, effectiveness, and course maintenance schedules.
- Establishes competency assessments such as quizzes, knowledge exams, direct observation, and associated checklists, etc.
- Ensures regulatory compliance with work product.
- Develops, integrates, and maintains simulation-based training programs for continued development of staff.
- Guides and directs the development of professional educational materials used within hospitals and other clinical settings.
