Job Description

The primary role of our Strategy team is to ensure our organization makes the right moves to deliver on our ambitious growth objectives. This takes many forms, from conducting research and analysis to identify our best markets and expansion opportunities through to identifying ways we make that vision a reality. 

As a Strategy Manager, for Experian Health, the incumbent will play a critical leadership role in the business – playing a key role in strategy projects that help us identify promising markets for expansion to translating our view of the market and our top opportunities into a compelling strategic plan that forms the basis of our activities and investment priorities. 

The Strategy Manager will also help to define our strategy and play a role in ensuring that we make regular, measurable progress against our strategic roadmap and towards achieving our strategic ambitions. 

  •  Market and competitor insights
    • Develop a deep understanding of our peer and competitor positioning as well as the broader healthcare and HealthTech landscape by identifying, gathering, and assessing internal and external data and performing in-depth analyses (e.g., market sizing, drivers, dynamics, competitive landscape mapping, channel assessment, segmentation, financial performance) to generate business insights
    • Proactively formulate and communicate a strategic perspective on emerging market trends or competitor dynamics for executives and senior leaders and create recommendations to support growth and business improvement that will have a significant impact on our top/bottom line long-term
  • Strategic planning
    • Intake information from across the organization and supplement with additional customer and internal strategic analysis (e.g. business model reviews, and financials) to become an expert in our business and develop a deep understanding of how we can best serve our customers today and in the future
    • Collaborate with cross-functional senior leaders to develop our annual 1- and 5-year strategic priorities, plans, and financial models, and prepare associated leadership and board-level materials
    • Maintain a longer-term outlook to identify risks and opportunities, making sure that we don’t let the urgent crowd out the important
    • Help nurture relationships with key strategic vendors (e.g. strategy consulting firms, analyst firms, market data providers, etc.) and help guide delivery of strategy projects that leverage services from these firms
  • Cross-functional collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with executive stakeholders across Experian Health and broader Experian – product, sales, finance, marketing, business operations, technology, etc. – to intake ideas and achieve initiatives
    • Lead business strategy projects from start-to-finish, defining clear hypotheses to identify new opportunities, structuring the approach, identifying and aligning with the appropriate set of cross-functional partners, guiding working groups and problem-solving efforts, building business cases and quantitative models, and synthesizing and presenting outputs to senior leaders
    • Support the evaluation of build, buy, partnership, and investment options
