Job Description

  • Leadership role model in terms of professional behaviors and personal accountability.

  • Coordinate with other areas to meet goals.
  • Ensure equipment is in properly working order.
  • Provide accurate and timely information of performance administrative work.
  • Ensure materials and supplies are available when required to execute daily plans.
  • Act as a positive role model.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment. Follow, enforce and support 5S principles.
  • Assign and execute daily and weekly work schedules.
  • Re-enforce adherence to standards (QCPs, policies and procedures, etc.) through coaching and routine follow up.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality, cost-efficient performance of work.
  • Troubleshoot and research discrepancies.
  • Maintain production standards/quality.
  • Ensure staff receives adequate training for the operations assigned to them.
  • Complete Corrective Actions to improve area.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Provide accurate and timely performance feedback to management.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.
  • Ensure information on forms and paperwork of incoming and/or outgoing shipments is correct.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits.
  • Monitor pre-established inventory levels to determine ordering needs.
  • Assist in determining correct method and mode of shipment to customer or supplier requirements.
  • Perform other tasks in the facility as needed.
  • Utilize company vehicle for deliveries and pick up from customers as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellent listening, verbal and written communication.
  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information in written, oral and diagram formats.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Must be a strong self-starter, able to work without Supervision.
  • Demonstrate an attitude of support, foster participation in the environment of continuous improvement and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Display and promote a positive, professional attitude across the organization
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral - English
  • Ability to lead the team in an organized, thoughtful manner while demonstrating company values 
  • Encourage a team environment; work with all members to facilitate product flow 
  • Communicate needs of the team to the supervisor; inform supervisor of concerns immediately 
  • Must be fully reliable to accept and complete tasks
  • Be willing to accept and adapt to changes in shifts, workdays, and tasks
  • Accept responsibility to ensure acceptable productivity of the entire team 
  • Guide the team to keep their commitments; assure delivery on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis 
  • Coordinate commitments between at shift change
  • Implement and maintain lean practices
  • Actively participate in CPEX and LEAN events, attend company functions
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing
  • High School diploma required.  Associates degree in Business or Logistics preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years Shipping and Receiving experience.
